Medical Director, Psychiatrist
Dr. Bunn earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Brigham Young University in English Literature with an emphasis in Rhetoric. Prior to Medical School he was a full-time English instructor at BYU and was honored as a Meyhew Teaching Award Finalist. Dr. Bunn has written publications in the area of doctor-patient communications and medical education. His most recently published article discusses how to help medical students develop more empathy for the mentally ill. Dr. Bunn attended medical school at Des Moines University with clinical training at Ohio University. His psychiatry training was completed at the University of Utah, where he received outstanding Junior and Senior Resident Awards and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology. He currently provides psychiatric care for a number of organizations including the BYU Student Health Center, UVRMC, Universal Health Systems, and Innerchange. In addition to this, he is an Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Utah, School of Medicine. Dr. Bunn takes a conservative approach to medication management.
Alie Thompson PMHNP is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Utah and graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner from Oregon Health and Science University. She has been practicing for over 10 years. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults. She has extensive pharmacological experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings and continues to see patients in both demographics. Her training allows her to address the gamut of psychiatric disorders including the treatment of anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder. She takes a conservative approach to medication management. In addition to her professional career she is married and the mother of four children.
APRN student (Child & Adolescent)
Britney Palombo is a doctorate student working under the clinical training of Strive Medical Director, Dr. William Bunn. She has received her training at the University of Utah’s doctorate of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. She earned her bachelor of science degree in the Nursing program. She has enjoyed working with pediatric patients, and their families for nearly 5 years at the Utah State Hospital as both a supervising nurse, and psychiatric nurse practioner doctorate student. She is trained in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, as well as individual, family, and group psychotherapy. She works closely with families utilizing an integrative approach to treatment, exploring the psychological, biological, behavioral, and social factors contributing to each individuals circumstance. She is currently working with patients between the ages of 6 years and 20 years. Britney, as well as the entire clinical staff at Strive take a conservative approach to medication management. In her free time, Britney enjoys being active outdoors with her husband and their two cherished daughters. Britney currently practices in the state of Utah.
Site Director & TMS Coordinator
Brookelan is the current Site Director for Strive Behavioral Health’s Provo Utah facility. Brookelan has a background in healthcare where she has formal training as a medical assistant. She has worked in the behavioral health care industry for over 6 years in both neurological and psychiatric outpatient treatment centers. She is also a trained technical coordinator for the TMS Center of Utah, where she administers Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy for patients who suffer from Major Depressive Disorder. She is one of only a small number of coordinators in the state of Utah that is trained to provide this FDA cleared individual TMS treatments. Brookelan is passionate about helping patients who struggle with mental illness. She is married and has a daughter who is the light of her life.
Regional Director & TMS Coordinator
Sareana has most recently been involved directing the administrative oversight for Life Bridge Psychiatry in Las Vegas. Her strongest skill lies in her capacity to demonstrate incredible professionalism and empathy to a variety of clientele and patient populations while also being able to effectively train others to provide the same quality of service. Sareana is also certified as a TMS coordinator. Sareana completed her undergraduate studies at Cal State Los Angeles. She currently resides in Las Vegas and is the mother of three wonderful children.
